Membership renewal fees are now due! Please use the application/renewal form! March 31st is the cutoff date for renewals. Anyone joing SELARC during the last three months of the year are carried forward to the following year!
The SELARC 2021 Hamfest was cancelled. To offset the annual cost of operating the club in lieu of the regular Hamfest. A quantity of tickets, minimum of 25, to be sold at $100.00 each, for a $500.00 cash payout. The membership incentive still applies to this program. Ernie has the tickets for sale!!
Florida Parishes VE Group - Testing sessions are scheduled for the last Sunday of each month [with the exception of holiday conflicts] at AmVets Post #68; 26890 Hwy 42 (jct. of Hwys 42 and 43) - Springfield, La. 70462 (approximately 3 miles south of I-12 at exit 32) at 2pm with $15 testing fee. Correspondence

Repeater Committee
The repeaters are on the air. The repeater committee and Tyrone, Bob, Ernie, did some work the previous Wed. on the 147 repeater and Friday went to the hospital site, and ran checks testing 3 +1 feedlines, and adjusted the 13 machine.
ARES Reports
(Pat KE5KMM, EC) Started back the ARES net, but we did suspend 3 nets in in Dec/January due to the noise on the repeaters. Received 15 checkins and some signal reports. As far as ARES, we thankfully had no use of repeaters for emergencies over the holidays.
(Ed KE5GMN, DEC) Checked the 130 a couple of times tonight and received full signal back from the repeater. Before the work on it was barely getting 25%, and audio was terrible. From last night, the 147 repeater is doing good, so far so good.

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) and its partners are troubleshooting what's keeping the NA1SS amateur station off the air. ARISS became aware of the problem after an attempted contact with a school in Wyoming, between ON4ISS on Earth and astronaut Mike Hopkins, KF5LJG, at NA1SS, had to abort when no downlink signal was heard. AMSAT reports that it's continuing to assess the status of the RadFxSat-2 / Fox-1E amateur radio CubeSat after a ham in Nevada reported hearing his CW signal weakly via the spacecraft's transponder on January 27. AMSAT Engineering and Operations was able to confirm the reports from Brad Schumacher, W5SAT, and determined that RadFxSat-2 is partially functioning, although signals are extremely weak...
